Corte Figaretto is a family-run farm in the heart of Valpantena, a valley located north of Verona.

The essentially Mediterranean climate, characterised by reduced rainfall, is complemented by the evening breezes coming from the Lessini Mountains, especially in summer.

These mitigate the daytime heat, and guarantee a wide temperature range between day and night, thus allowing the grapes to reach maturity with a medium-high acidity and an unmistakable personality.

Corte Figaretto is a small winery located in the heart of Valpolicella, in particular in the “Valpantene” cru. The valley is also called “Valley of all the Gods” thanks to its fertility and its richness in resurgences which give the area a characteristic bright green color.

The most common soils are of volcanic origin as well as biancone. Our cellar works with the gravity winemaking system. This means that we do not use pumps when mashing the grapes. In fact, this phase is very critical and the method allows for greater respect for the grapes.

The grapes are not pressed, but only destemmed; in this way they remain intact and fall by gravity into the fermentation tank. Here the grapes will open following the natural movements of fermentation, which always occurs through indigenous yeasts.
