The history of wine in the region dates back to 4300 BC at the prehistoric settlement of Dikili Tas, close to these facilities. The archaeological site, known as the “standing stone”, is an important landmark in viticulture, as the oldest traces of winemaking in Europe from crushed grape seeds were found there.

These vineyards are the point where the tradition of myths meets modern viticulture methods.

The mild continental climate of the area, combined with the mountains of Falakro, Menoikio and Orvilo, as well as the fertile valleys on the slopes of Drama, create a unique microclimate. Here, the grapes grow with minimal intervention, acquire distinct aromas and express the uniqueness of the place. The privately owned vineyards are located next to Natura 2000 areas, where natural biodiversity flourishes. Thus, these vineyards grow in harmony with a living ecosystem.

Beyond the vineyards, in Adriani, lies the heart of the Estate – the modern winery. In the underground aging rooms, the reds and some whites are aged in oak barrels, wooden tanks, amphorae or concrete eggs, ensuring excellent conditions for their development.

Selected bottles are transferred to private cellars, where they continue their journey of maturation.
